Moscow Demands Staggering Amount in Damages from Clearing House Regarding Frozen Assets

The head of state made a trip to speak to defense personnel in the eastern front on Tuesday. The president confirmed that he consulted fighters at the command post of the first unit of the Ukrainian National Guard Azov, which is managing protective maneuvers in the Dobropillya sector, a location approximately a short distance from the city.

Moscow legally bars recruits from being sent to battle, but after their armed forces duty they enter Russia's reserves, exposing them to potential of being deployed to conflict.
Heavy military spending have also started to strain the Russian state budget, with Moscow raising taxes to address growing shortfalls.
The Ukrainian president urged the US to remain open to providing Ukraine with far-reaching military equipment. Appealing to European leaders from the conflict zone, the head of state also called for more western sanctions on the federation – including on the energy and atomic industries – and said he desired European Union membership by the end of the 2020s.
Germany plans to increase defense support to Ukraine by €3bn next year to about a significant sum, the treasury department in the German government said on Tuesday. This includes, among other things, cannons, drones, military transports and the substitution of air defense units.
